workshops
If you are looking for an artist to host your next event, you’ve come to the right place, I absolutely love helping you deliver your special events! Whether it is an art class with friends, a team building event with colleagues, a hen do, birthday or 1-1 art session you’re after I can tailor a session to suit you. Check out the gallery below for examples of some of my most recent events including a pet portrait hen do, a train invention workshop for children and a mindfulness retreat!
Pet Pawtraits
These sessions are suitable for all abilities and I’m on a mission to spread fun through art with the belief that everyone can draw! In the pet portrait session we will go from a pencil sketch to a fully coloured acrylic painting in the 2 hour session. I bring all the supplies you need including paints, brushes, water and canvases and I will guide you step by step through the process, building up in layers and confidence as we go. We’ve drawn cats, dogs, guinea pigs and even a marmoset! I’m on hand throughout to help you with any questions. All we need is some eager participants and a place to paint!
Youth Events
Working with The Heart of England Community Rail Partnership I hosted ‘Innovation Station’ a mini workshop for children at the Coventry Community Day. Providing the kids with pencils, crayons, felt tips and of course GLITTER, we asked them to invent their own future train. The results were fantastic…my favourite involved a slide and a climbing wall, I don’t know about you but that would definitely get me on the train more often…
Community Workshops
Working within the community I have experience running workshops with a range of people with different outcomes in mind. Working with Worcestershire Royal Hospital I spoke with members of the staff and patient body to find out about their ideas for a new mural specifically focussing on what makes Worcester special. I also have run workshops with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind with a specific focus on how drawing can be a tool for mindfulness. The most memorable workshop has to be when we took over a train for White Ribbon Day, inviting passengers to draw over the windows with me.
