Worcester A&E Mural
Starting with a blank 12 metre concrete wall, a colourful brief, a big ruler and some wet weather gear this mural came to life over a week in October 2023. The piece was commissioned by the Royal Worcestershire Hospitals NHS trust with funding from Arts Council England. The trust wanted to brighten the outdoor space of the new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. Working closely with the trust and members of the staff and patient body I developed a colourful, characterful design to lift and add joy to a plain wall. So much so, I will be returning this spring to add a second piece to the courtyard as this wall is making the others feel left out!
Concept Development
Working with my clients I create fully realised concepts before we ever get paint on the wall. I start with paper and pencil, noting down the ideas that are important to you, turning ideas in note form into visual solutions. These then continuously develop with 2 or more rounds of revisions included in the quote. In this project we invited input from the public and ran workshops to make sure that a wide variety of ideas were heard and included. You can see how the concepts above changed as we progressed through the project. It was a pleasure to paint! If I can help you in your next project Get in touch!
Materials & Safety
Depending on your project need, I can select the best materials for the job. I bring ground sheets to protect flooring so I can get messy whilst your other floors and walls stay perfectly clean. I am PASMA trained to work with scaffolding and can create a risk assessment and method statement before completing the job.
